This morning I was a little tired. Sue and I had stayed up to see the concluding 2hrs of 24. That Jack Bauer is one tough hombre. In a 24hr period he was stabbed, electrocuted and shot. Fortunately the bullet hole was a "through and through" so no real damage done. I bet if he took a week off he could run 250 marathons in 250 days. I wanted a simple route today so, I drove to Shouldice Pool and headed east towards Eau Claire Market. I was half a sleep, running along the river bank, about 5km in, when I slipped on some "Goose Poop". I almost went butt over tea-kettle but fortunately kept my feet. I said a few words about geese, goslings and what you could do with them. Man, that stuff is slick. After I regained my composure, I started to think.

An old farmer friend of mine, who owned a lemon orchard, used to say to me "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade". Surely there was an application for a "Product" that was as slippery as this. The answer was obvious; the Olympic Bobsled Team. If this was applied to the runners of the sled what chance would other teams have. I knew, however, that I would have to check the IOC's book on "Banned Substances" before I got too excited. They were one step ahead of me. There in Chapter 68: Animal Poop, section 12: Bird Poop, sub-section 4a: Goose Poop: "The afore mentioned substance is banned from use on Bobsled runners, and any other runners that are in contact with an ice surface including ice skates". So, it looks like we're out of luck for the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. There again, there's no mention of Llama poop!!!!!!!.
