This morning I drove to Teacher Dan's house and he gave me a lift to Vista Heights School in Calgary. I arrived at 8.00am and Principal Sue told me that assembly was at 9.00am. I decided to get a few laps in before talking to the students, so I changed and headed outside. First light had come up and the huge palying field was clear of snow. We've had great weather the last two weeks and the snow has really taken a beating. It's was great to be running on grass again and, as I rounded a group of trees, there was a huge white.....rabbit. Or was it. It was much larger than a regular rabbit and moved at tremendous speed. I managed to get a photo of it and I've posted it in the Flickr gallery on the Home Page. What do you think? is this the arrival of the Urban WereRabbit?

At 9.00am I chatted to the kids at assembly and we all headed outside. The children formed a line and gave me high 5's as I set off on my marathon. All during the day groups of kids joined me. We ran and discussed many things, including pets, favourite food, number of brothers and sisters they had. One group of grade 4 girls wanted to know if I believed in psychics, that's a tough one. A little kindergarten girl, Tina, came up to me and said "Marathon Martin, I want to give you this for the children". She gave me 2 cents. I said thank you very much and put it in my pouch. I've added it to my schools cash envelope which was $62.80 and is now $62.82.
