I had run the last two marathons pretty fast and decided that today I'd better slow things down. The weather has finally improved and I headed out in 6C temperature. It was up the 1A and morning coffee / kitkat bar at the Ghost Station. I turned at 15km and at 18km a white truck stopped just down the road from me. The fellow who jumped out said his name was Ashley and he worked at the British Forces Adventure camp just west of Cochrane. He said he had been trying to track me down and gave me $10 for Right To Play. I thanked him and as he pulled away I looked down and there was a lucky penny.

Along the way home, I stopped and took some photos of horses in a field. I continued along my way and at 27km two cyclists came up beside me. They said there names were Lloyd and Ed and they were from London. They had left Vancouver in early May and had travelled to Whistler and on to Jasper. Their plan was to cycle to Halifax over the next couple of months. I noticed Ed had a few scrapes and a bandaid on his head. Must have had a bit of a spill. The lads headed off and I was home for lunch at 12.30pm. After lunch, I took the path along the river and headed to the east side of Cochrane. I then cut up the hill from the river and passed Ecole Notre Dames des Valley, one of the schools I had run at recently. As I went pass Teacher Meredith came out with a group of kids and we had a good old chat. The final leg home was highlighted with an ice cream from Mackays.
