Not OK computer, kaput computer! This morning Sue was watching a You Tube video of a baby eating it's way out of a watermelon when the screen went completely pink and then black. The last word from the machine was 'Ping'. I phoned Computer Wizard PJ and he said it was time to move on and get a new one. After today's run I'll head to Future Shop and see what I can find.

I got a much earlier start today. Out the door at 6.30am. It had been a fitful night, the sunburn irritating me on and off. I left in a slight drizzle, which was good as it kept me cool. I stuck to the West Point loop for the first 14km and then popped home for tea and toast. The next 14km loop took me to Crawford Ranch and back. I finished off the walking marathon with my usual route, to Mackay's for an ice cream and then home. My leg held up well and by smothering myself in +50 sunblock I avoided more sunburn.

After a chocolate milk, hot tub and shower it was off to Future Shop to get a computer. Should be simple. Six years ago lap tops were more expensive than desk tops. How things have changed. Sales Tech Gary told me about the new chips, memory size and hard drives. I picked a machine and was about to pay when Gary told me that for $100 they would remove a bunch of rubbish programs that had been preloaded by the manufacturer. No thanks. What a con when you have to pay to remove programs you never asked for!!!

Ice Cream Quest 47

The challenge is to try all 47 flavours at Mackay's ice cream store before midnight December 31st.

Today's flavour #16: Fresh Banana
