So, today was my first  physio session with Physiotherapist Serge. Serge has been helping me me from Day 1. We did a baseline VO2 max test, before the New Year, which established my endurance level. We also carried out a Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) test to establish my calorie requirements while doing the marathons. This came out to 5,000 calories a day which basically means that when I'm not running I'm eating. He started off the session with the "Tuning Fork", this was to see if it was a stress fracture. There was no sharp pain in the shin, so that was positive. He moved to the ultrasound and then I did some stretches. The hot / cold leg bath was next and we finished off with electrode stimulus to the muscle along the side of the shin. Felt pretty good after. Monday is the bone scan results and I'll have a couple more physio sessions during the week.

Llama Facts (This is no Joke)

-  Llamas don't normally spit like camels, unless they have been bottle fed or over-socialized. Llamas are very social, curious and intelligent animals.
